BioBot

Ask anything
about biology.

BioBot is an AI assistant built specifically for biology questions. Ask about genes, cells, diseases, ecosystems — anything. It answers in plain language, no background required.

How it works

Real answers, plain language.

Type any biology question and BioBot draws on a broad scientific knowledge base to explain it clearly. No search results. No hedging. Just a direct answer you can actually understand.

Hi — I'm BioBot. Ask me anything about biology and I'll explain it clearly.
How does CRISPR cut DNA?
CRISPR uses a protein called Cas9 guided by a short RNA sequence. The RNA matches a specific DNA target, Cas9 binds to it and makes a precise double-strand cut. The cell then repairs that break — which scientists exploit to edit, delete, or replace genes.
